Phosphor bronze C51000 contains copper, tin, and phosphorus. Phosphorus increases the wear resistance and stiffness of the alloy. Tin increases the corrosion resistance and strength of the alloy. Lead, zinc, and iron are other named elements. Phosphor bronze alloys are notable for their toughness, strength, good conductivity, and low coefficient of friction.

 

C510 is also designated as CuSn5, CW451K, and PB102.
