Introduction

ASTM A890 CE3Mn or Grade 5A is the nearest equivalent grade to the wrought super duplex stainless steel UNS S32750. Its ASTM number is ASTM A995 and ASME SA351/995  grade or 5A. Meanwhile, J93404 or  25Cr-7Ni-Mo-N is its UNS designation, is a duplex stainless steel that offers a compelling combination of high strength and excellent corrosion resistance. This alloy's duplex microstructure, consisting of a balanced mix of austenite and ferrite phases, contributes to its enhanced mechanical properties and its ability to resist various forms of corrosion. CE3MN is particularly well-suited for demanding environments where components are exposed to harsh corrosive conditions, such as seawater and chemical processing applications. Its combination of high strength and superior corrosion resistance makes it a valuable choice for applications where structural integrity and longevity are critical.
