Introduction

Nickel 200 is a solid solution strengthened, commercially pure wrought materials with excellent mechanical properties and resistance to corrosion. It also has exceptional resistance to caustic alkalis at different concentrations and temperatures. However, the corrosion resistance is better in de-aerated acid. The alloy has low gas content and vapor pressure, and high thermal and electrical conductivities.

The following section will discuss in detail about Nickel 200 alloy.

Composition

The chemical composition Nickel 200 alloy is outlined in the following table.

Element Content (%)
Nickel, Ni ≥ 99
Iron, Fe ≤ 0.40
Manganese, Mn ≤ 0.35
Silicon, Si ≤ 0.35
Copper, Cu ≤ 0.25
Carbon, C ≤ 0.15
Sulfur, S ≤ 0.010
