Haynes 556 have Effective resistance to sulfidizing, carburizing, and chlorine-bearing environments at high temperature; carburizing and chlorine-bearing environments at high temperatures with good oxidation resistance, fabricability, and excellent high-temperature strength.

HAYNES 556 alloy has good strength and carburization and oxidation resistance at elevated temperatures. It also has excellent welding and forming characteristics.
