In addition to conforming to the chemical requirements of the ASTM B165 specification, the Monel 400 Welded Tube has to conform to the values of tests such as hydrostatic test, Tension test, non-destructive electric test, and the rounding method. Both the ASTM B163 and the ASTM B165 UNS N04400 Alloy 400 Tube cover requirements with regards to the aforementioned tests.
Intended to be used in applications involving the condenser and heat exchanger processes, the Sb-163 Tube Material covers various dimensions. For instance, the Sb 163 N04400 Alloy 400 Tubing constructed in accordance with the specification covers not only the outside diameter but also its average wall. Moreover, the Monel 400 Seamless Tube also covers dimensions such as the outside diameter and minimum wall tube. Slightly magnetic at ambient temperature, the Monel Alloy 400 Tube is resistant to seawater and steam, as it is resistant to salt and caustic solutions at elevated temperature settings.
